A little bit about me...
I come from a long line of World War II and Vietnam veterans, and my dad was the first in his family to not enlist in the US military when he came of age. Choosing to go to college and seminary, my dad was the odd-one out for a while, but his and my mom's faith in God and their choice to move overseas with us children at a young age is something I greatly admire them for. Never for a minute have I questioned why my family has been set apart from our relatives: we're called by God to live a different life; a life of uncertainty, but also one that's full of adventures and joy, because we are trusting God every step of the way.
Now, as a girl in my late teens, I've grown up in China and have come to admire the US military just as my elders before me. As an aspiring Mandarin Chinese speaker, challenge and risk taker, I've felt most recently that my future belongs in the US military, namely the Air Force. But, aren't things going to be pretty tough as a Christian, even in a "Christian-ized" country such as America? Yes; the simple answer is "yes". The answer doesn't end there though. With this site, I hope to not only blog about my journey into the USAF--every step of the way--but I also hope to help other aspiring servicemen and women, those who hope to serve their country, earn a steady living, and serve God, most importantly. I want to be a supporter for YOU. I want to help YOU in the small ways that I can, so if any of this is helpful, I will be so pleased. As of today I haven't been able to find any Christian young women who are in the Air Force and sharing their experience with the world, so right now, even before I am in the AF officially, I hope to be that person to you. May God be glorified through my testimony as I try to serve others and serve Him. Thanks for stoping by!
Soli Deo Gloria!
